July 29, 2011- Today Governor Cuomo signed the Land Bank Act, a new tool to revitalize New York’s main streets, town centers, and urban areas.

Empire State Future appreciates the Governor’s signing of the Land Bank Act. This legislation will enable NY communities to strategically and swiftly re-purpose abandoned and vacant properties, in time, lessening blight and bringing revitalization to many of our neighborhoods.
We also thank all those throughout the state who offered their voice in support of this legislation.
Now it is time to make sure that each region throughout New York State successfully utilizes this proven tool to deal with the serious issues that arise from abandoned and vacant property.
